This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Quickshelf (a brand of Uddipta Tech Solutions, "we", "us", "our") collects from visitors to quickshelf.online and from participants in our private beta program, and how we use it. Quickshelf is in private beta — the software is being offered free for 6 months to a limited set of stores, and the ESL hardware is in active R&D. This policy covers both the website and the beta software.
1. Who we are
The data controller of your information is Uddipta Tech Solutions, a Micro Enterprise registered with the Government of India under Udyam registration UDYAM-JH-12-0011570, with its registered office at Jamtara, Jharkhand, India.

2. Information we collect
We only collect information that falls into the following categories.
Information you provide
When you submit the waitlist or contact form, we collect:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number (optional)
- Your company / store name (optional)
- The category you’re interested in (optional)
- Any free-text message you write
Information collected automatically
When you visit the website, our hosting provider may automatically log technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you visit, and the date and time of your visit. We do not currently use any analytics or advertising trackers.
Information from third parties
We do not currently obtain personal information about you from any third party.
3. Beta participants
If your store is accepted into the Quickshelf private beta, we will additionally collect the data needed to provide the software service. This typically includes:
- Account credentials (username, hashed password) for users you create.
- Operational data you enter into the platform: products, prices, inventory, sales, customer records, staff records, and similar.
- Usage telemetry — what features you use, errors encountered — so we can improve the product.
Your operational data belongs to you.We act as a data processor for the data you put into the platform, and we won’t use it for our own purposes beyond running the service and improving the product. We will never share your customer or sales records with another beta participant or any third party.
If you choose to leave the beta, you can request a full export and deletion of your operational data — see "Your rights" below.
4. How and why we use it
We use your information only for the following purposes:
- To respond to your message or waitlist sign-up.
- To contact you about Quickshelf’s early-access pilot, product updates, or launch — only if you signed up for the waitlist.
- To prevent abuse and keep the website secure.
- To comply with applicable law.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
5. Legal basis
Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act") we process your data based on your consent, which you give by submitting a form. You can withdraw consent at any time (see "Your rights" below).
Where the GDPR applies, our legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a)) and our legitimate interest in operating and improving the website and pre-launch outreach (Article 6(1)(f)).
8. Data retention
We retain beta application and contact form data for up to 24 months from the date of submission, after which it is deleted unless you have actively engaged with us or joined the beta.
For beta participants, we retain your operational data (products, prices, customers, sales records, and similar) for as long as your account is active and for up to 30 days after the account is closed, unless you ask us to delete it sooner. Server logs are typically retained for up to 90 days.

9. International data transfers
Our hosting and database providers may store data on servers located outside India (e.g., in Singapore, the EU, or the United States). When this happens, we rely on each provider’s standard contractual safeguards. By submitting a form on this website you consent to that transfer.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you are, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Ask us to erase your data.
- Withdraw your consent at any time.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Receive a copy of your data in a portable format.
- Lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India (or your local DPA).
11. How to exercise your rights
Email us at uddipta.techsolutions@gmail.com with the subject line "Privacy request". We aim to respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before acting on the request.
12. Children's data
The website is intended for adult visitors (18+). We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have collected such data, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Security
We protect your data through reasonable technical measures, including:
- HTTPS encryption for all traffic to and from the site.
- Row-level security on our Supabase database that allows the public website to insertwaitlist data only — never read, update, or delete it.
- Per-email rate limiting to prevent abuse of forms.
- Limited internal access on a need-to-know basis.
No system is perfectly secure. If we ever discover a breach affecting your data, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the current version. For material changes we will, where practical, notify waitlist members by email.
15. Grievance Officer
In compliance with the DPDP Act, 2023 and IT Rules, the Grievance Officer for any complaints regarding your personal data is:
